And while showrunner Angela Kang won’t say whether it’s smart of us to believe that Lauren Ridloff’s character somehow survived, she will let Norman Reedus’ gruff but stylish alter ego do not feel that she has died.
Fans of The Walking Dead have never seen the hide nor hair of Connie since February’s “Squeeze,” in which Carol seemed to smithereen BFF Daryl’s first real chance for a romance. And while showrunner Angela Kang won’t say whether it’s smart of us to keep faith that Lauren Ridloff’s character somehow survived, she will let Norman Reedus’ gruff but stylish alter ego do not feel she has died.
The EP tells TVLine: “A part of him just has a hard time giving up to anyone. You know what Rick likes. Daryl saw a bridge burn and catch fire and he was like, ‘No, this guy is not dead’ and searched the river for years for him.
She doesn’t think that he ceased to want to find Beth when she disappeared, either. I don’t think that he has given up the hope of finding Connie in that same way.
The problem is, Daryl is a little distracted at the moment, thanks to the Whisperers and their hordes descending on his friends’ hideout in Season 10 (featured Sunday, October 4 at 9/8c on AMC). Kang says that he’s trying to cope the best he can. He has Judith, who is basically like a god-daughter to him. She has no parents left, and they are in the middle of this crisis, so he has to concentrate on what is right in front of them.
So goes she: “But I don’t think he’s completely given up hope that Connie might be alive.” What about you Deadheads? Do you think that Connie has survived the calamity in the caves like Magna? Hit your theories with your fear of comments.
