After Suhana Khan shared a post on Instagram with a plea to end colorism, internet citizens called it the height of hypocrisy and asked her to tell her father Shah Rukh Khan the same.

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan took over social media after sharing a powerful post on colourism on Instagram. Suhana posted screenshots of messages and comments that she received criticizing her face and mentioned that she has been called unflattering since the age of 12.

What is sad is that we are all Indian, which automatically makes us brown – yes we come in different shades but no matter how hard you try to distance yourself from the melanin you just can’t do it. Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure” as she demanded an end to colorism.

While many hailed the young starlet for her appropriate response to the trolls, her post was also made for new trolls and this time it featured her father King Khan. Netizens called Suhana as a high-level hypocrisy and declared that while the lady is talking about ending colorism her father Shah Rukh is supporting fairness cream. A Twitter user wrote, “While I agree with #SuhanaKhan 100%, #EndColourism should start from home. You can’t complain to the society about the obsession that your father has been promoting for years!! If this does not expose the morals or lack thereof in the movie industry? !

Another user asked Suhana to write a letter to SRK about the end of colorism and practise what she is preaching. To be honest, #SuhanaKhan Dark skin is not a badge of shame but a glorious masterpiece, but shouldn ‘t u be in writing a note to your father to #EndColourism.coz he is the one who promotes skin whiteners. To hell with such color prejudices. So practice what you preach”, wrote the user tweeting.

Wen at Twitter stalk Suhana Khan take a look:

While I’m completely in accord with what has been said, should start from home. You can’t complain to the society about the obsession your father has been supporting for years! YES!

If this exposes morals or lack thereof in the film industry! !

Well, a dark skin is not a badge of shame but rather a glorious masterpiece.but should not write a note to your dad, for he is the one who promotes skin whiteners with such color prejudices.

Therefore, practice what you preach.
