The Eric Andre Show,” which features Andre as a psychotic and inept talk show host with co-host Hannibal Buress, has gained a cult following over the years due to Andre ’s deranged “man on the street” antics and his endless lectures and humorous celebrity guests interviews.

Season 5 of the Eric Andre Show is shaping up to be as wonderfully deranged as longtime fans would expect.

It’s been four long years since the debut of the Season 4 of Adult Swim’s Wild Talk Show parody, but the wait for the fifth season is almost over. Adult Swim has released the trailer for the season 5 of the Eric Andre Show and the tease suggests that the prolonged gap between seasons hasn’t dulled the show’s ludicrous and entertaining edge.

Although the new trailer doesn’t give any guests or man-on-the-street pranks away, it gives a peek at the colorful new set of the show. Andre is also seen stabling a clown, colliding a motorcycle into his desk, ripping off his own head and scoring a goal with it, being shot repeatedly. And business as usual.

The Eric Andre Show,” which features Andre as a psychotic and inept talk show host together with co-host Hannibal Buress, has gained a cult following over the years due to Andre’s deranged “man on the street” antics and his myriad of ludicrous and unpredictable celebrity guests interviews. For instance, the effort of Steve Schirripa to promote his pasta sauce on the show took an unfortunate turn while the Season 3 interview with an increasingly distressed Lauren Conrad endured as one of the series’standout segments.

The fifth season of the show, which contains 10 episodes, was originally announced in October 2019 and filming was wrapped soon before the coronavirus-pandemic forced most Hollywood productions into obscurity. Recent entertainment weekly reported that Judy Greer, Blake Griffin, Luis Guzman, Omarion, Adam Rippon, Dermot Mulroney, Tia Carrere, Robin Givens and Jai Rodriguez will be some of the stars interviewed during the 2016 season.

Although the fifth season of the “Eric Andre Show” has been long on the way, Andre and Buress have been busy on other projects over the last few years. Andre has recently finished his “bad trip” film which will be distributed by Netflix. He was seen as Azizi in Disney’s “The Lion King” remake and voiced Luci in 20 episodes of the animated “Disenchantment” sitcom on Netflix. Both comedians also have released new stand-up specials earlier in the year: Andre’s “Legalize Everything” is available on Netflix and Buress’ “Miami Nights” is available for free via YouTube.
