With the rookie slot cornerback already struggling to make the transition to the nickel cornerback position in the NFL, the NY Giants would be even more hampered as they would no longer have the option to move or forefoot the youngster if he continues to struggle.

New York Giants Coach Joe Judge delivers a positive report on Peppers
Joe Judge confirmed that Jabrill Peppers had a decent shot in his Friday morning call with the NY Giants’reporters to play this Sunday.
I have no timetable on him for anything. We are going to assess him day by day. We will see where he is. He had that leg. They’re going through a couple of more things with the doctor this afternoon, but at this point it could go either way right here, said Judge.
That’s about as much as Joe Judge ever gets out of when it comes to discussing a player’s injury, so all in all, I would consider that a glowing review of Peppers’ injury status.
The upcoming additional medical tests will clearly confirm either that the injury is small or tell us that something more serious is going on; we’ll have to wait for those final results.
But indications point towards Peppers having a solid chance of supercharged against the deadly LA Rams pass attacks.
