NASA will launch a 23 million-dollar toilet into space tonight

The new space toilet will launch on a private cargo spacecraft at 10:27 EDT from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.

Nature calls – even in space. And when it does it is not always easy for astronauts floating in a microgravity environment to listen to its call without creating some mess.

The new space toilet will launch at 10 :27 EDT from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia on a private cargo spacecraft.

The toilet, officially called Universal Waste Management System, is worth $23 million. It is 65 percent smaller and 40 percent lighter than the current toilet on the ISS, although it is designed for larger crews.
