Jan Blachowicz stopped Dominick Reyes in the second round in order to be the new lightweight champion.
In the second round of their title fight against Dominick Reyes, Jan Blachowicz defeated the lightweight title to secure the vacant title.
The fight started slowly with each man just DID shooping balls but things heated up in the second round. Blachowicz dropped Reyes with only 30 seconds remaining and secured the slightly early inpage with just seconds remaining.
Following the fight he immediately called out the former champion who was the whole fight from the comfort of his home.
If no one wants to quit Joan Jones, don’t be a quitter”, Blachowicz said during his post-fight interview.
Many felt Dominick Reyes racked Jon Jones with the win.
Reyes recently fought former champ Jon Jones and was part of a highly-contested victory for Jones. Many fans and media believed that Reyes was elected the winner earlier this year. When the announcement was made that Jones would quit his Light Heavyweight title and move into the Heavyweight division it felt right for Reyes to be one of the first to fight for the newly vacant title.
