(Warning: This post contains spoilers for the finale of episode.4 of Wednesday – The Masked Singer.)

The masked singer – season 4 continued Tuesday with its second episode, which ended with its second elimination and demolishment. And just like promised in the Fox – Singer – Competition promo for the week, this was no ordinary unveiling.

Serpent, Whatchamacallit, Seahorse, Crocodile, Gremlin and Baby Alien fought together tonight as part of Group B .

After these six Season 4 contestants performed, it would have been time for the panel members to choose the weakest competitor for elimination in Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke. TheNight – Episode – But As TheWrap previously reported – a competitor decided to take off their own mask before voting started, marking the first time a “Masked Singer” contestant has ever removed themselves from the game.

The unnamed singer in question was Gremlin, who sang Ben E. King’s “Stand by Me” before revealing himself as the actor Mickey Rourke. And the reaction of the panel members to Gremlin’s secret identity was truly wild.

The full season 4 lineup of masked contestants includes Dragon (who was unmasked on the premiere and revealed as Busta Rhymes ), giraffes, sun, snow owls, serpent, gremlin, crocodile, broccoli, seahorse, jellyfish, mushrooms, Whatchamacallit, Squiggly Monster, Baby Alien, Sun and Lips

According to Fox, these 16 contestants combined — but 17 celebrities, because of the Snow Owls — have “sold more than 281 million records worldwide, appeared in more than 5,120 television ep and 204 movies, appeared in five Super Bowls — three are on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one Academy Award nominee — and one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people.

  • The fall has arrived and chances are that all will remain as far away from home as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the season. Fortunately, dozens of new and returning shows are coming up this fall to keep you company. TheWrap has sorted out all the dates we know — primarily — for the fall premieres of TV shows. The list will continue to be updated as more become available. For the purposes of this gallery, we designated Sept. 1 as the start of fall rather than the official Sept. 22 start, since “Fall TV” is certainly to be billed looser this year. The Masked Singer also posted an animation, fan voting and a Baby Alien Fox/ABC/Amazon/FX off its pandemic season

Fall has arrived and odds are that everyone will stay at home as much as possible during the season to prevent COVID-19 spreading. Fortunately, dozens of new and returning shows will have the opportunity to feature this fall to keep you company. TheWrap gathered all the dates we know — yet — for the fall premieres of TV shows. We will continue to update the list as new are released.

For the purposes of this gallery, we have designated Sept. 1 as the start of the fall instead of the official Sept. 22 start, since “Fall TV” is certain to be less broadly defined this year.
